Claire Begbie completed her MA at the Middle East Studies Center at the American University in Cairo (2019). During the Spring/Fall 2020 semesters, Claire will be conducting research in the fields of (Arab) Film Studies, Critical Theory and Aesthetics under the supervision of Dr. Surti Singh, and with the intention of applying to relevant PhD programs by the end of the year. In addition, she is revising her MA thesis “Representations of Palestine in Egyptian Cinema” for publication.
